Patna : Bihar government has sought explanations from three IPS officers including SSP, Patna, Manu Maharaaj, City SP, Patna, Chandan Kushwaha, and former Saran SP Pankaj Raj, for their misconduct when CM Nitish Kumar was addressing senior police officials on June 28, 2017. They have been asked to give their explanations as soon as possible. It was clear case of misconduct by these officials, said a top police official on July 4, 2017. It was a very important meeting, he said.

The three officials were allegedly either playing games or viewing images on their mobile phones when the chief minister was telling the police officials to strictly enforce prohibition and stop drug abuse. The meeting was organised Economic Offence Unit of police on International Day Against Drug Abuse. Obviously, the three police officials were caught by cameras of some TV channels.
