Patna : Bihar government on December 27, 2017, promoted three IPS officers of 1993 batch, all IGs, to the payscale of ADG ( Level 15 in pay matrix).The three IGs promoted on December 27 are : Jitendra Singh Gangwar, Sunil Kumar Jha, and Jitendra Kumar. The State Home (Police) Department issued a notification to this effect on December 27.

The State Government also four IPS officers of  2009 batch : Navin Chandra Jha, Harpreet Kaur, Saurabh Kumar Sah, and Manavjit Singh Dhillon, to Junior Administrative Grade payscale ( Level 12 in the pay matrix).

An IPS officer of 2000 batch and DIG, Shahabad range, Mohad Rahman, has been promoted to the payscale of IG ( Level 14 in pay matrix).

Six IPS officer of 2004 batch : Vinay Kumar, Vijay Kumar Verma, Kumar Eklay, Ratnamani Sanjeev, Rajendra Prasad, and Suresh Prasad Chaudhary, have been promoted to payscale of DIG ( Level 13 A in pay matrix).

Twelve IPS officers of 2005 batch : Nishant Kumar Tiwary, Manu Maharaaj, Jitendra Rana, Kshtranil Singh, B N Jha, Shankar Jha, Shiv Kumar Jha, Pankaj Sinha, Lallan Mohan Prasad, Sudhir Kumar Singh, Shekhar Kumar, and Jitendra Mishra have been promoted to Selection Grade payscale ( Level 13 in the pay matrix)..
