Three arrested in Dhanbad murder case

Dhanbad ( Jharkhand): Dhanbad police have arrested three youth of Jharia  including Avinash Kumar and Shashi Paswan in Dhanbad  murder case in which Congress leader and former Dhanbad deputy mayor Niraj Singh was shot dead with three others on March n21, 2017, night. All the three arrested persons have criminal background. Police are also looking into footage of CCTVs installed by private parties which have recorded the killings.

Though the FIR in this case was lodged by Abhishek Singh , younger brother of the deceased Niraj Singh on March 22, the main eyewitness to incident Aditya Raj, who kept hiding in the SUV and had even called  Abhishek Singh informing him about the attack on Niraj, has also recorded more or less the same statement during his investigation  on March 23 conducted by 4 IPS officers for more than 3 hours.

Jharkhand Additional director general of police (CID) Ajay Kumar Singh, who is heading special investigation team (SIT), while talking to this  reporter on March 24, 2017,  stated that as BJP MLA Sanjiv Singh is  named as prime accused  in the FIR filed  by Abhishek Singh,  younger brother of the deceased Niraj Singh, and another eyewitness to this murder Aditya Raj has also spelled the name of the BJP MLA, the SIT will be interrogate Sanjiv Singh to get the truth and crosscheck the allegations whether the MLA was directly involved or  his role was of main conspirator in this case.“  It seems that professional contract killers were hired from outside in this gruesome  murder but role of local people can’t be ruled out,” said Ajay Singh refusing to reveal any thing more  at this juncture.
