Patna: With the arrest of three persons, Patna Police on January 31 claimed to have cracked the case of murder of  one Randhir Kumar at Maner on January 30 night.

Police said that some anti-socials had opened fire on January 30 night in an inebriated condition leading to death of Randhir Kumar on the spot. An FIR was lodged with the Maner police station in this connection. A police team reached the spot and gathered information from the locals and started carrying out raids to arrest those involved in the murder. Police came to know that some persons involved in the firing had assembled at Khaspur Cheur.

A police team reached there and arrested three persons from there. Police also recovered a live cartridge from the possession of one of the arrested youth. The arrested persons admitted before the cops that they were boozing at the time of incident and opened fire in the air. Police said that the arrested youth said that Randhir was hit by a bullet and died on the spot. The arrested persons were identified as Kunal Kumar, Vijay Kumar and Jaiguru alias Rakesh, all natives of Maner in Patna rural.
