Ara : With the offering of Arghya to the rising sun on November 14, 2018, morning, at different Chhath ghats in Bhojpur district, the four- day Chhath festival and 36 hours fast came to an end. Thousands of devotees had assembled at different chhath ghats in Bhojpur district singing traditional chhath songs. Some devotees were seen prostrating on the road from their house to the chhath ghats.
After offering of Arghya, prasad were distributed among the people at the ghats and also among the family members and acquaintances. Though the Bhojpur district administration had banned sale, purchase and use of fire-crackers at chhath ghats on yet crackers were sold and used at different ghats with impunity in the presence of police officials.
