Thieves kill two women at Sitamarhi village

Sitamarhi: Two women of a family : Marachhia Devi, 60, and Pooja Devi, 30, were strangulated to death by unidentified thieves village Madhkaul under Belsand Sub- division in Sitamarhi district on September 19, 2017, night.

Marachhia Devi and Pooja Devi were strangulated to death by the thieves as they were shouting for help from the villagers when they saw them stealing goods from their house. The villagers and family members chased and caught one of the thieves who was later indentified as Amresh Rai, a resident of an adjoining village Jaffarpur under Belsand police station. After thrashing him, the villagers handed him over to police. At the time of theft,  only two women were inside the house. Ram Babu Bhandari, the house owner, was sleeping at an outhouse. Police are searching for the remaining thieves.
