Patna : Top seed Dominic Thiem, 26, Austria, 3rd seed Matteo Berrettini, 23, Italy, and 5th seed Diego Schwartzman, 27, Argentina, entered the semi-finals of ATP Vienna Open at Vienna, Austria, on October 25, 2019.

World No 5 Dominic Thiem entered the SFs after his quarter-finals opponent and World No 34 Pablo Carreno Busta, 28, Spain, retired due to injury in first set trailing 0-5.

Schwartman defeated World No 9 and 2nd seed Karen Khachanov, 23, Russia, 7-6, 6-2 in the quarter-finals. Schwartzman won 4 break points to 2 by the Russian. Khachanov though fired 7 Aces in the match to 2 by Schwartzman.

World N0 11 Matteo Berrettini beat World No 22 Andrey Rublev, 22, Russia, 7-5, 7-6 in QFs. The Italian fired 8 Aces in the match to 2 by the Russian. Berrettini also won a break point besides winning 3 games in a row in the match. Berrettini will face top seed Thiem in the SFs on October 26.
