Theft at MLC Manorma Devi’s sealed Gaya house

Patna: Suspend JD (U) MLC Manorma Devi, whose sealed Gaya house was opened by police on Saturday following Patna high court order on October 6, found that jewellery, cash and arms including Rifle and pistol had been stolen from the house.

Manorma Devi is mother of Rockey Yadav, the main accused in the Aditya Sachdev murder case. She said that since the house was sealed in her absence, the Gaya district administration would know better how the theft took place in the sealed house. The house was opened in the presence of Manorma Devi and her husband by police personnel of Rampur police station and excise department officials. When the house was opened, three rooms were found ransacked and some almirahs opened. The house was sealed on May 11 this year after recovery of liquor from there. The lock on the back door was also found broken.
