Aurangabad: Aurangabad police arrested ten persons from different places in the district during last 24 hours for their alleged involvement in unlawful activity including smuggling of liquor.

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) arrested six persons from Rafiganj station railway premises for their alleged involvement in unlawful activities. Incharge Inspector Satyendra Kumar said that arrested persons Amlesh Prasad, Yogendra Manjhi, Pappu Kumar, Ramjhi Prasad, Mumtaz Alam and Raju Alam were found moving in suspicious condition. Railway Police are interrogating them to know the motive behind their movement on railway campus.

A team of Simra Police Station arrested one Lavkush Kumar, a resident of Manikpur, for allegedly smuggling liquor from Hariharganj in Palamu district. SHO, Manish Kumar, said that police recovered 50 bottles Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from his possession. The SHO said that raids were on to nab the associates of Lavkush who managed to escape. In a joint  operation, Amba and Nabinagar Police station arrested three persons. Sources in SP office said that Rahul Kumar, Ramadhar Mistri and Pramod Kumar have been arrested for their Aurangabad alleged involvement in serious offences.

SP Babu Ram said that the SHOs have directed to nab the all the accused of pending cases within stipulated timeframe. Delay in their arrest will invite action against the officials concerned .
