Tejeshwi is future CM of Bihar : Lalu

Patna :While supporting the demands of some RJD legislators to project his younger son and deputy chief minister Tejeshwi Prasad Yadav as the CM candidate in the next assembly elections, RJD president Lalu Prasad on February 15 said his son was the future chief minister of Bihar.

Next assembly elections are due in 2020. Lalu was succeeded by his wife Rabri Devi as CM of Bihar in 1997 following his arrest by CBI in fodder scam. Lalu, who was convicted for five years jail term in fodder scam, is currently on bail by Supreme Court order.
The RJD president on February 15 said he too has received memorandum from his party leaders asking him to nominate Tejeshwi as CM candidate. Surendra Yadav and Manorama Devi, two legislators from Gaya, and Bulo Mandal, MP from Bhagalpur, have demanded Lalu should pave way for installation of Tejeshwi as the next generation leader of Bihar as Mulayam Singh Yadav did in favour of Akhilesh Yadav.
Suggestion to nominate Tejeshwi as the future CM, however, was not appreciated by the JD(U), a partner in the grand alliance government of Bihar. Neeraj Kumar, MLC and JD(U) spokesman said there was no vacancy of
CM in Bihar and Nitish Kumar was the only acknowledged leader in the state. Responding to JD (U) leader’s claim, RJD leaders said Nitish would be projected as the PM candidate against Narendra Modi  in 2019 Lok Sabha
elections.
Two senior RJD leaders including former union minister Raghuwansh Prasad Singh alleged Nitish Kumar was not posting honest officers on key posts. Right men are not being posted at right place, he said and alleged because of that corruption was going up in all departments. Bhai Birendra, party MLA from Maner, complained to  Lalu
that chief minister was not honouring the recommendations of RJD leaders.
