Patna : Leader of Opposition in Bihar legislative assembly Tejaswi Yadav on October 10, 2017, appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Delhi in connection with its on going investigation into the alleged money laundering in the award of maintenance contract of two railway hotels located in Puri and Ranchi to a Patna based Hotel group in 2006, when RJD chief Lalu Prasad was the Railways Minister.

The ED sleuths are likely to record the statement of Tejaswi Yadav, the younger son of Lalu Prasad. Tejaswi, RJD MLA from Raghopur and former Bihar Deputy CM, was also quizzed by the CBI for nearly seven hours in Delhi in the same connection on October 6. The CBI, which had registered a case against Lalu, his wife and former Bihar CM Rabbri Devi, Tejaswi and others in connection with `Land for Hotel’ on July 5, 2017, had also grilled Lalu for seven hours on October 5, 2017, according to sources.

The ED has also summoned Rabri Devi to appear before it on October 11. The ED had also lodged a case under PMLA against some of Lalu’s family members. The ED has the power to attach tainted assets under PMLA, sources said.
