Patna : The RJD led Mahagathbandhan ( Grand Alliance) on October 3, 2020, announced seat sharing among the alliance partners for the Bihar Assembly polls. The RJD has secured 144 of the 243 Bihar Assembly seats while Congress party has been allotted 70 seats. The three left parties : CPI(ML), CPI, and CPM, will contest 29 seats in the state. Congress is a gainer in the seat sharing agreement.
The seat sharing arrangement was announced by the chief ministerial candidate of the Grand Alliance Tejaswi Yadav at a presser here. The CPI(ML) has been given 19 seats, CPI 6, and CPM 4 seats.The RJD will accomodate Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and Vikashsheel Insaan Party (VI) led by Mukesh Sahni from its quota of seats, Tejaswi said.
But, hurt by the seat sharing deal, VIP leader Mukesh Sahni has announced parting of ways with Grand Alliance.
