Buxar : A teenage girl was raped by a youth at a village under under Rajpur police station (PS) in Buxar District in South Bihar recently. Police have arrested a woman Sangita Kumari, wife of Danji Ram of the village, in this connection. A named FIR was lodged by Women’s police station, Buxar, against seven persons including Sangeeta Kumari and Sanjay Kumar in this connection on the statement of the survivor.
SHO, Women’s PS, Nitu Priya said that Sangeeta Kumari took a teenage girl in her neighbourhood to her home around 11pm and confined her to room. She allegedly called a youth Sanjay Kumar of the village to her house, who outraged the modesty of the girl while Lal Ji Ram, Babloo Ram, Rakesh Kumar, Ram Babu Ram, and Arbind Kumar, stood in guard outside the room. After outraging her modesty, the accused shooed away the girl.
The survivor reached home and narrated her ordeal before her family members. Her family members, along with the survivor, then reached Women’s police station and lodged a named FIR against seven persons.
SHO, Women’s PS, Nitu Priya, quoting the FIR, said that the girl was the only child of her parents and the named accused wanted to capture her land and so she was kidnapped and raped to terrorise the entire family.
