Teenage girl raped at Bihia, Bhojpur, accused yet to be nabbed

Ara : Modesty of a teenage girl was outraged at Bihia under the same police station in Bhojpur district on June 13, 2018, evening, and the video of the rape was made viral on the social media. A named FIR was lodged with Woman Police Station, Ara, on the statement of the girl. Later, police brought the girl to Ara Sadar Hospital for medical examination. Police also brought her to Ara Civil Court to get her statement recorded under section 164 of CrPC.

SHO, Woman Police Station, Poonam Kumari said that the girl had gone to tuition class on June 13, 2018, evening. When she was returning from tuition, brother of her sister-in-law (bhabhi) Santosh Kumar caught and took her to a secluded place where he outraged her modesty and also made a video of it. He also asked her not to disclose the matter otherwise he would make the video viral on the social media. But, she narrated  her ordeal to her parents and family members, who lodged an FIR with the Woman police station. But, no arrest has so far been made in this connection.

The SHO said that Santosh Kumar’s sister was married to the girl’s cousin brother three years back and Santsoh frequently visited her house on one excuse or the other. In the meantime, he fell in love with the girl and tried to marry her but her family members rejected the proposal that infuriated Santosh Kumar who took revenge by outraging the modesty of the girl.
