Ara : A case of gangrape of a teenage girl came to light at a village under Ara Muffasil police station in Bhojpur district on April 15, 2020, after a named FIR was lodged with Women’s Police Station, Ara, against three persons.
Police brought the girl over to Ara Sadar Hospital for medical examination and also produced herbefore an Ara Court to get her statement recorded under Section 164 of CrPC. Police are conducting raids to arrest the named accused.
SHO, Women’s Police Station, Jyoti Kumari, said that a teenage girl was all alone at her house at a village under Ara Muffasil police station when three youth of the same village forcibly took her to a lonely house where they gangraped her. Later, they left the spot threatening her with dire consequences if she dared narrate the incident to anyone. The girl, somehow, reached her house and narrated her ordeal before her family members. The SHO stated that all the three named accused are absconding after the incident and police are conducting raids to arrest them.
