Teenage girl gangraped at Bhojpur village

Ara : Four youth gangraped a teenage girl of  mahadalit community at village Sikarhatta Kala  under Sikarhatta police station in Bhojpur district on June 23, 2018, late evening when she had gone to the field to attend call of nature.

A named FIR has been lodged with Sikarhatta police station against four persons on the statement of the girl. Later, police arrested two of them and sent them to jail and are conducting raids to arrest the rest two. Police brought the girl to Ara Sadar Hospital for medical examination on June 24. Police will produce the girl before the court on June 25 to get her statement registered under section 164 CrPC.

SHO Sikarhatta police station, said that a teenage girl of mahadalit community of village Sikarhatta Kala under Sikarhatta police station had gone to the field to attend call of nature on June 23 late evening when four youth of the village tied her mouth with a towel and dragged her to nearby dry canal and raped her one by one.

The miscreants threatened her with dire consequences if she dared say anything to her family members and escaped. The girl somehow reached her home and narrated her ordeal to her parents. Her family members informed police at once. Police swung into action and arrested two of the named accused and sent them to jail.
