Teenage boy drowns to death in river Ganga

Ara : Ravi Yadav, 15, son of Nand Ji Yadav of village Balua under Barhara police station in Bhojpur district drowned to death at Balua ghat while taking a dip in river Ganga on May 6, 2018. Later, the villagers and family members fished out the body with the help of Mahajaal. Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.

SHO, Barhara police station, said that a marriage ceremony was scheduled for May 6 at Nand Ji Yadav’s house. Ravi Yadav along with his two younger brothers went to bring ‘Ganga jal’ from river Ganga. When he was taking a dip in the river, he slipped and trapped in the fast current of the river and drowned.
