Ara : Some unidentified armed miscreants shot dead son of a CPI(ML) leader from point blank range at the gate of Ara Sadar Hospital under Ara Town police station (PS) on September 22, 2021, evening, and escaped.
Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained. The deceased was identified as Bijay Kumar, son of CPI(ML leader Gopal Prasad.
SHO, Ara Town PS, Shambhu Kumar Bhagat, said that Bijay Kumar ran a tea-stall at the gate of Ara Sadar Hospital. He was also owner and driver of an ambulance. On September 22, 2021, evening, some unidentified armed miscreants came and pumped four bullets into the body of Bijay Kumar from point blank range killing him on the spot and escaped. The SHO further said that an FIR has been lodged with Ara Town PS in this connection. Police are investigating the matter.
