Bokaro (Jharkhand) : Tamanna Ray, a Class IX student of DPS Bokaro, Jharkhand, bagged the 2nd Runners Up trophy at All India National Geography Project Competition, 2021. The prestigious competition was organised by Kota (Rajasthan) based Geo Genius, a nationwide platform to cultivate academic excellence in Geography.
To develop interest in Geography and to inculcate the competitive spirit among the students during the global pandemic, the Geo Genius Project competition was organised on virtual mode.
Hundreds of students from across the country participated at the competition and Tamanna won the third prize in the senior category under the topic “Understanding the tectonic jigsaw of our home planet Earth”. Her project was titled “When the Creation is New.” She was awarded a Trophy and a Merit Certificate.

Principal, DPS Bokaro, A S Gangwar, congratulated Tamanna on her achievement and said, “Curiosity is the secret behind every great idea and when that meets the commitment to dedication, success is achieved. These kind of competitions indeed enhance the creative and innovative skills of the students which proves to be very effective in the long run.”
