Patna : World No 1 Tai Tzu Ying, 26, Taiwan, defeated World No 9 A N Se Young, 18, South Korea,in straight games on January 30, 2021, to enter the finals of HSBC BWF World Tour Finals 2020 at Bangkok, Thailand. Tai Tzu beat Young 21-18, 21-12 in 37 minutes in the first semi-finals on January 30, 2021.
Tai Tzu will face the winner of the second SFs match between reigning Olympic Champion Carolina Marin, 27, Spain, and World No 13 Pornpawee Chochuwong, 23, Thailand, in the finals on January 31, 2021.
