Tai Tzu & Chen Yufei to clash in All England Open Badminton Championships final

Patna : World No 4 in Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings Chen Yufei, 21, China, entered women’s singles final of All England Open Badminton Championships 2019 defeating World No 2 Nozomi Okuhara, 23, Japan, in the semi-finals at Arena Birmingham, England, on March 9, 2019, night. Chen Yufei will face World No 1 Tai Tzu Ying, 24, Chinese Taipei, in the final on March 10, 2019.

Third seed Yufei beat Okuhara, the 2nd seed, 21-17, 21-11 in 42 minutes in the semi-finals. Yufei won 42 rallies in the match to 28 by Okuhara, the 2017 World Champion. She won 7 consecutive points to 5 by Okuhara. But, Okuhara still leads Yufei 4-2 head to head.

In the men’s single World No 1 and top seed Kento Momota, 24, has reached the final defeating World No 15 NG Ka Long Angus, 24, Hong Kong, 21-19, 21-11 in 54 minutes in the semi-finals.
