Taapsee Pannu starrer ‘Thappad’ doing average at box office

Patna : Anubhav Sinha directorial  ‘Thappad’ starring Taapsee Pannu, Pavail Gulati, Dia Mirza, Ram Kapoor, Ratna Pathak Shah, and Tanvi Azmi is doing just about average at the box office. Released on February 28, 2020, the 142 minute film did a business of around Rs 28 crore  only in its first ten days despite positive reviews.

The second week collection of the film has been poor so far. The film grossed only about Rs 1.7 crore on its 9th day and about Rs 2 crore on 10th day. The film was made on budget of around Rs 35 crore including prints and advertising cost.

Taapsee Pannu plays the role of Amrita Sandhu Sabharwal in the film who is slapped by her husband Vikram ( Pavail Gulati) at an office party prompting her to re-evaluate her married life. Ratna Pathak Shah plays the role of Amrita in the film while Tanvi Azmi plays the role of her mother-in-law.
