Patna : Iga Swiatek, 19, Poland, crushed qualifier Nadia Podoroska, 23, Argentina, 6-2, 6-1 in semi-finals on Philippe-Chatrier court, Roland Garros, Paris, France, on October 8, 2020, evening, to reach women’s singles final at French Open, her first Grand Slam Final.

Swiatek, who had stunned top seed and 2018 champion Simona Halep, 29, Romania, in 4th round on October 4, 2020, won 5 break points to 1 by Nadia Podoroska, who had handed a shock defeat to 2rd seed Elina Svitolina, 26, Ukraine, in QFs on October 6, 2020.
