Patna : World No 6 Elina Svitolina, 24, Ukraine, and World No 60 Bianca Andreescu, 18, Canada, reached the semi-finals of Indian Wells Masters, a TWA premier event played on hard courts at California, USA, on March 14, 2019.

Svitolina beat World N0 61 Merketa Vondrousova, 19, Czech Republic, in a tough three-set contest 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 in the quarter-finals. Vondrousova committed 5 double faults in the match to 1 by Svitolina.
