Svitolina beat Wozniacki in Group Stage match in WTA finals, Pliskova beats Kvitova

Patna : World No 7 Elina Svitolina, 24, beat defending champion and World No 3 Caroline Wozniacki, 28, Denmark, in the Group Stage match in the WTA finals at Singapore on October 25, 2018, night. Svitolina won 4 break points to 3 by Wozniacki. Both the players won 3 games each in a row in the match. Wozniacki served 4 Aces to 3 by Svitolina.

With this Svitolina has won her all three Group Stage matches in the WTA finals. She had defeated two- time former Wimbledon Champion and World No 5 Petra Kvitova, 28, Cezch Republic,  on October 21, 2018, and World No 8 Karolina Pliskova, 26, Czech Republic, on October 23, 2018. Wozniacki, on the other hand, has lost two of her three Group Stage matches.

Pliskova defeated Kvitova 6-3, 6-4 in another Group Stage match on October 25. Kvitova though fired 4 Aces in the match to 1 by Pliskova. But, Kvitova committed 7 double faults to just 1 by Pliskova. Pliskova won 5 break points to 3 by Kvitova.  Pliskova won 4 games in a row to 3 by her rival. Kvitova has now lost all her three Group Stage matches.
