Gopalganj : Passengers travelling from Phulwaria railway station in Gopalganj to Hajipur can’t avail train services from Sunday. The  North-Eastern Railways has suspended Phulwaria-Hajipur Passenger train. From Sunday onwards, Thawe-Siwan Passenger train and Phulwaria-Hajipur Passenger train would also remain suspended. Varanasi division has suddenly suspended plying of these trains. The passengers would not be able to avail the services of the above mentioned trains till February 10, 2017.  The Railways have not taken any initiative to run other trains for the passengers, who will have to face a lot of problems for next two months.

The sudden suspension of both these trains would not only create problems for the daily passengers. A large number of students of Gopalganj study in different colleges of Chhapra (Saran) and they mainly boarded these two trains for attending their classes. Rubiya Sayed, a student from Siwan, said that she mainly boarded these two trains to attend her coaching class at Chhapra. “The sudden suspension of these two trains would affect the student community a lot,” she pointed out.

Talking to reporters about the letter issued by the Varanasi Rail division here late on Saturday evening, Hathwa railway station Station Master Rakesh Kumar said that Phulwaria-Hajipur Passenger train used to start from Bathua Bazaar daily at 20.38 hours and after touching Phulwaria, Selar Kalan, Hathwa, Siwan and Chhapra reached Hajipur. He said that the same train starts from Hajipur as 44441 Passenger train daily for Bathua Bazaar.

Thawe Station Superintendent SSPN Baitha said that Varanasi division of North Eastern railways has suspended the plying of these two trains till February 10, next year. He said that the division has not mentioned any reason behind the suspension of the trains.  The plying of these two trains would commence from February 11, next year, he hoped.
