Sitamarhi : Senor BJP leader and Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi ( SuMo) riding a pick-up van staged a roadshow van in Sitamarhi town on October 29, 2020, to mobilise support in favour of eight NDA candidates fighting Bihar Assembly elections from Sitamarhi District in North Bihar.

Modi, who had tested COVID-19 positive, was recently discharged from AIIMS Patna. He moved in the town from Gaushala Chowk and travelled the entire town along with supporters and party workers.BJP candidate from Sitamarhi assembly constituency Mithilesh Kumar is pitted against the RJD sitting MLA Sunil Kumar.

Sitamarhi MP Sunil Kumar Pintu, his father Hari Shankar Prasad, and grandfather Kishori Lal Sah represented the seat several times. Former minister Pintu lost the 2015 assembly election but was elected MP from Sitamarhi parliamentary constituency in 2019 LS polls after switching over to JD(U) from the BJP. Altogether twelve candidates are in the fray from Sitamarhi Assembly Constutuency.
