Gopalganj: Principal Secretary, Minority Welfare Department, Amir Subhani on December 31, 2016, issued directives to senior officials including Gopalganj DM Rahul Kumar and District Minority Welfare officer Rajnish Kumar Rai, for taking necessary steps for the welfare of students of minority community. Subhani was in Gopalganj to take stock of the condition of minority institutions in the district.
Subhani, who reached the minority hostel at Maulana Mazrul Haq Ucchatar Madhyamik Vidyalaya at Turkaha on Saturday evening, lost his cool after seeing darkness in the hostel. He directed the officials to provide better facilities to the students and asked them to install geysers and heaters in the hostels.
The Principal Secretary directed the officials to finish the renovation works of the hostel before arrival of CM Nitish Kumar there. He also directed school principal Mohd. Neyaz to provide adequate furniture for the students. There would be no paucity of fund for the development of the hostel, he said. When inquired about the reason behind darkness in the hostel, school principal said that battery of the generator has developed some snag. The principal secretary directed district welfare officer to get the battery changed. Subhani also directed the DM to see that standard materials are used in the renovation work.
Subhani assured that there would be no paucity of staff in District Minority Welfare department office. During an inspection of the office, Subhani said that employees would be deployed on contract basis at the office to ensure there is no hindrance in implementation of different schemes of the government. Prior to the inspection, Subhani met every employee of the office and inquired about their salary payment.
