Buxar: All the seats in Inter colleges and +2 schools are unlikely to filled this year and the students are finding it easy to get themselves admitted to their choice college or schhol due to low pass percentage at matriculation exam this year. Due to fair examination, only 27 % students passed the matriculation examination in Buxar district. The number of pass students is less than the number of seats in colleges and +2 schools.

The government upgraded 71 high schools to +2 for better education in Buxar district and teaching in 45 of them has  started. Besides, a number of private Inter colleges are also running in the district. Many students of +2 schools are getting admission elsewhere too. The colleges, which had fixed academic standard for admission earlier, are taking admission of the students directly in their effort to fill up seats. M V College, Buxar, the only constituent unit of Veer Kuer Singh University in Buxar district, is also taking admission of the students directly.

Dinesh Rai, Principal, Upgraded High School, Palian, said that the students of high schools were getting admission in other colleges easily as the pass percentage of students as the matriculation examination was very poor in the district.
