STF foils bank dacoity plan at Barauli, 2 criminals arrested with Carbine

Patna : An STF team from Patna on September 27, 2017, morning, arrested two criminals from Barauli in Gopalganj district when they were planning to commit dacoity at Barauli branch of Central Bank of India. The arrested criminals, who were identified as Irshad, 20, and Hasmuddin, 24, were arrested from their respective houses at Barauli.

Confirming the arrest of Irshad and Hasmuddin, STF SP Nilesh Kumar, said that the STF team also seized a .9mm Carbine and live cartridges from Hasmuddin’s house. The Carbine was kept at Hasmuddin’s house by Irshad, he said adding the STF has evidence that they were working for notorious criminals Laddan and Saddam. Laddan is lodged in Siwan jail and Saddam in Gopalganj jail, the STF SP said.

The STF SP said that Irshad had been jailed in a kidnapping case earlier. Irshad and Hasmuddin were planning to procure more firearms. Saddam had told them to loot cash from the bank after he comes out of jail but Irshad and Hasmuddin wanted to do it before that, the STF SP said.
