STF arrests arms smuggler with 49 half-finished pistols in Munger

Munger : A Special Task Force (STF) team arrested an arms smuggler Mohammad Ejaj Alam alias Bholu with 49 half-finished pistols in Munger district on May 21, 2018, late night. The half-finished pistols were brought over to Munger from Malda in West Bengal to give them finishing touch.

Confirming the arrest of the arms smuggler, Munger SP Gaurav Mangala, a 2013 batch  Bihar cadre IPS officer, said that the STF arrested him from Purabsarai under Purabsarai Police Oupost. The arrested arms smuggler is a local, the SP said.

Police is interrogating Ejaj Alam to know about his accomplices and also who had placed orders for these pistols. The half-finished pistols reportedly reached Munger via Kolkata.
