Muzaffarpur: With a view to preventing Bird Flu, the State Health Society Bihar has alerted the poultry farms and rural markets ( Hats) across the state. The alert has been sounded in the wake of death of Chicken in Bodh Gaya in Gaya district and Delhi recently.

Assistant Director, State Health Society, Pradip Jha, while informing all the District Magistrates (DMs), Civil Surgeons, and district Animal Husbandry Officers (DHOs) about the alert sounded as a precautionary measure has requested them to take appropriate action in this regard. He said the H9 and H2 virus are dangerous. Director,  Animal resources, Radhey Shyam Singh, has also requested the DMs and DHOs to take samples from poultry farms and Hats and send them for lab test.
