Patna : The Shrikrishna Science Centre (SSC), Patna, observed “Moon Landing Day ” on in its premises on July 20, 2017. The programme started with an Open House Quiz. The question were based on Apollo 11 mission, Chandrayan 1, Mars orbiter mission and astronomy. After that a movie “Birth of solar system” was shown.
After that Prof Rajmani Prasad Sinha, Former VC, L N Mithila University (LNMU, Darbhanga, delivered popular science lecture explaining the comparative aspects of physical situations on earth and moon. He briefly explained the various complexities in any space mission. He also explained the difference between density and mass of earth and moon and explained the origin of moon. About 75 students from different schools participated in the programme.
