SSB seizes 41 kg Charas in W Champaran

Bettiah : The SSB jawans of 44th Battalian of Enarawa Border out post(BOP) under Enarawa police station under Narakaiganj sub-division in West Champaran district seized 41 kg,( one kg each pocket) of Charas near border pillar no.419/27 in the early morning on January 28. But smugglers managed to escape taking advantage of darkness and dense fog.

Battalion commandant Rajesh Tikku said that the SSB jawans on border patrolling duty saw that smugglers crossing into Indian territory and chased them. But they ran away towards Nepal leaving the 41kg of contraband Charas worth Rs 6.15 crore in international market. The seized Chars was handed over to the Enarawa police station the same, the commandant said.
