Bagaha : SSB jawans of 21st battalion deployed at Bborder out post(BOP) at Gandak barrage, Valmikinagar in West Champaran district, on April 22, 2017, morning, saved the life of two women, who had gone to take dip in river Gandak on the occasion of Baisakhi Ekadashi but slipped deep into the river and drowned.
On getting information, the SSB diver jawans rushed to the place and took the two women out from the river. SSB Assistant Commandant Raju yadav said that the rescued women were identified as Mannu Devi, 50, wife of Pramesh Sao, and her a married daughter Nisha Devi of village Vijaypur under Valmikinagar police station.
