Srikanth sails into 2nd round of All England Badminton Championships

Patna : World No 8 Kidambi Srikanth, 26, India, stormed into the men’s singles 2nd round of Yonex All England Badminton Championships 2019, a BWF World Tour 1,000 points tournament, at Area Birmingham, England, on March 6, 2019.

Srikangth beat World No 25 Brice Leverdez, 32, France, 21-13, 21-11 in 30 minutes in the 1st round. Srikanth now leads Leverdez 2-0 head to head. Srikanth won 42 rallies in the match to 24 by Leverdez. Srikanth won 10 consecutive points in the match to 3 by Leverdez.
