Patna : World No 10  Kidambi Srikanth and World No 35 Parupalli Kashyap, both India, crashed out of the Toyota Thailand Open losing their second round matches at Indoor Stadium Huamark, Bangkok, Thailand, on August 1, 2019. Srikanth lost to World No 32 Khosit Phetpradab, Thailand, in three-games while World No 3 Chou Tien Chen, 29, Chinese Taipei, swept past Kashyap in straight games.

Phetpradab beat Srikanth 11-21, 21-16, 21-12 in 63 minutes coming from behind to enter the QFs of the tournament. Phetpradab won 53 rallies in the match to 49 by Srikanth. Srikanth easily  won the vfirst game in 15 minutes but Phetpradab was all over him in the next two games winning both of them comfortably.

Third seed Chen demolished Kashyap 21-9, 21-14 in 33 minutes in the second round to advance to the QFs. Chen won 42 rallies in the match to 23 by Kashyap. He won 7 games in a row to 3 by Kashyap. Chen now leads Kashyap 3-2 Head to Head.
