Srikanth, Jonatan Christie enter QF of BWF Hong Kong open 2018

Patna : World No 8 Kidambi Srikanth, 25, India, beat compatriot and World No 23 H S Prannoy, 26, in the second round on November 25, 2018, to enter the quarter-finals of Yonex-Sunrise Hong Kong Open 2018, a BWF World Tour Super 500 event, at Hong Kong.

Srikanth beat Prannoy in a three-game thriller 18-21, 30-29, 21-18 in 67 minutes in the second. Srikanth won 69 rallies in the match to 68 by Prannoy. Srikangth won 8 consecutive points in the match to 4 by Prannoy. Srikanth now leads Prannoy 4-1 head to head.

World No 12 Jonatan Christie, Indonesia, upset World No 7  Anthony Sinisuka Jinting, Indonesia, 21-15, 25-23 in 54 minutes in the second round to enter quarter-finals of the event. Christie won 46 rallies in the match to 38 by Jinting. Christie won 5 consecutive points in the match to 6 by Jinting. The two players are 2-2 head to head.
