Patna : Bihar Deputy CM and senior BJP Sushil Kumar Modi ( SuMo)on August 25, 2017, informed Bihar legislatice council that Bhagalpur based NGO Srijan Mahila Vikas Sahyog Samiti was given 24 decimal land on 30 year lease at Sabour in Bhagalpur district 2003 during the RJD regime besides th Trysem building.
Modi also read out a letter of the then Bhagalpur DM in this regard. The Deputy Chief Minister informed the Upper House that all the Block Development Officers (BDOs) in Bhagalpur district were in 2003 asked to encourage government fund deposit into Srijan account by the then DM.
Earlier, CM Nitish Kumar told the House that the CBI had taken over the investigation into the Srijan fund scam. He said that the people having any information and document relating to the scam should hand them over to the CBI. The CM said that those seeking court monitoring of the CBI investigation into the Srijan scam should move the court. The state government will have absolutely no objection to it, Nitish said.
