Patna : Sri Lanka (SL) were all out for 154 in 37.4 overs in their first innings in the first session of play on day 2 in the 2nd test against South Africa (SA) at St George’s Park, Port Elizabeth, South Africa, on February 22, 2019, with wicketkeeper Niroshan Dickwella scoring 42 and opener Lahriru Thirimanne scoring 29. South Africa are 10/0 after 5 overs in their 2nd innings, a lead of 78 runs.

Resuming at their overnight score of 60/3, Sri Lanka lost their 4th wicket at 64 with Thirimanne getting out to Duanne Olivier for 17. Kasun Rajitha fell to Kagiso Rabada for 1 making it 65/5. Kusal Perera also fell to Rabada for 20 making it 97/6. Dhananjaya de Silva fell to Wiaan Mulder for 19 making it 128/7. Suranga Lakmal fell to spinner Keshav Maharaj for 7 making it 154/8. Niroshan Dickwella fell to Rabada at the same score making it 154/9. Spinner Lasith Embuldeniya did not bat due to I njury.

For South Africa, fast bowler Kagiso Rabada took 4/38 while fellow fast bowler Duanne Olivier took 3/61. Keshav Maharaj and Wian mulder took one wicket each. South Africa were all out for 222 in their first innings on day 1.
