Bokaro (Jharkhand) : Delhi Public School, Bokaro Steel City, Jharkhand, has once again created a niche for itself at the global level by bagging the prestigious International Education Excellence AwardAward at the Indo-Lanka Education Summit and Awards 2022 hosted by ‘Mind Mingle’ in association with the Ministry of Education, Sri Lanka, for the year 2021-2022. The award ceremony was held at Colombo on February 26, 2022.
Principal, DPS Bokaro, A S Gangwar, received the award on behalf of the school and was felicitated by Dinesh Gunawardena, Minister of Education, Sri Lanka.
This Education Summit was organised to salute the spirit of the institutions who have made their mark by transforming the lives of millions of students and driving them towards success and DPS Bokaro is the only school from Jharkhand to have received this award.
This coveted award has been bestowed on the school in recognition of its innovations and initiatives which have made real impact in education sector. The award ceremony witnessed an overwhelming participation of hard-working, creative and successful educators from schools across the globe. Sarita Gangwar, senior teacher of the school, was also felicitated on the occasion for her contribution in the field of education.
It may be mentioned here that DPS Bokaro is also the proud recipient of the International School Award by British Council and is also the only school from Jharkhand to be a member of the exalted PASCH network of German Scholarship programme.
