Patna : Sri Lanka (SL) were all out for 253 in 79 overs against West Indies (WI) on the first day of the second cricket test at Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, Gros Islet, St Lucia, on June 14, 2018, with captain Dinesh Chandimal scoring an unbeaten 119 in 186 ball with 10 fours and a six and Kesal Mendis scoring 45 with 8 four. Opener Kusal Perera made 32 with 5 fours. In reply, West Indies were 2/0.

For West Indies, fast bowler Kemar Roach, 29, took 4/49 in 18 overs while fellow fast bowler Shannon Gabriel, 30, took 5/59 in 16 overs. West Indies captain Jason Holder took 1/56 in 14 overs. West Indies had won the first test at Port of Spain, Trinidad.
