Patna : Sri Lanka (SL) were 202/5 at stumps on Day 1 in their first innings in the 1st test against Pakistan at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi, Pakistan, on December 11, 2019, with Dhananjaya de Silva unbeaten on 38 in 77 balls hitting 6 fours and Nirosha n Dickwella (wk) batting on 11 in 13 balls with 2 fours. SL won the toss and pted to bat.
Sri Lanka openers Dimjuth Karunaratne and Oshada Fernando added 96 runs for the first wicket. Karunaratne fell to fast bowler Shaheen Afridi for 59 in 110 balls with 9 fours while Oshada Fernando fell to fast bowler Naseem Shah for 40 in 81 balls with 6 fours and a six. Kusal Mendis fell to pacer Usman Shinwari for 10 while Angelo Mathews fell to Naseem Shah for 31. Dinesh Chandimal fell to Mohammad Abbas for 2.
