Patna : Electing to bat after winning the toss, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) scored 172/9 in 20 overs against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 54th match of IPL 2018 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, on May 19, 2018, night, riding on a solid start given by their openers : Shikhar Dhawan and Shreevatsa Goswami, wicketkeeper, who scored 50 and 35 respectively, and 17 ball 36 with 3 sixes and a four by captain Kane Williamson, New Zealand.

Dhawan and Goswami were involved in a 79 run stand for the first wicket. Goswami, who fell to medium pace bowler Prashidh Murali Krishna, 22, Bangalore, when the score reached 79, hit 4 fours and a six in his 35. Dhawan, who was dropped by KKR spinner Sunil Narine on 45, hit 5 fours and a six in his 50. Manish Pandey scored 25 in 22 ball hitting 2 fours and a six.

For KKR, Prasidh Krishna took 4/30 in his 4 overs. Andre Russel, Javon Searles, 31, Barbados, Kuldeep Yadav, and Sunil Narine, took one wicket each.
