Motihari  : A 24 coach special train from educational hub Kota i n Rajsthan arrived  at Bapudham-Motihari  railway station with 1,646 students including girls at 5 am on May 7, 2020. The students were very happy  after reaching  their home state. They were welcomed by   senior administrative, police, and health officials on Platform No.1 and provided  breakfast  packets, water bottles and tea.

The students were  taken out of the coaches one by one and East Champaran DM Shirshat Kapil Ashok and SP Navin Chandra Jha were
offering  marigold flower  to them with a request to maintain social distance during home quarantine period.

Station Superintendent   Rakesh Tripathy said the platform and station circulating area was sanitised and GRP and RPF personnel  were deployed  around the station. A list of detailed passenger list was prepared with their cellphone numbers by administration to monitor  the arrival of students.

DM Shirshat Kapil Ashok talking to this scribe said that all the officials and policemen were on their toes to ensure compliance of social distancing and other preventive measures  at the time of arrival of students. Twenty-four medical teams were pressed into to service for carrying out thermal screening of students.
Barricading  had been done around the railway station to regulate the crowd and guardians of students. Out of  1,646 students  who arrived at the station, 550 belonged to East Champaran, 750 to West Champaran, and 346 to Gopalganj  districts, all in North Bihar .They were sent  to their respective  district  quarantine centres  by 66 santitised buses arranged by the administration. According to the  doctors engaged in screening of students, all the students were found asymptomatic. The  students of Motihari town  were handed over to their guardians  after screening at local  Rajendra Town hall by the administration.
