Saharsa : A special police team headed by SDPO, Saharsa, Prabhakar Tiwary, on August 27, 2019, night, arrested 6 notorious criminals with 2 pistols, 2 stolen bikes, several ATM Cards, and live cartridges. Giving this information at a presser on August 28, 2019, Saharsa SP Rakesh Kumar said that he has constituted a special team headed by SDPO to arrest notorious criminals wanted in different incidents of crime in the district.
The SP said that two notorious criminals Anil Yadav of village Bela and Mohd. Shamim of village Chandrayan were arrested with a countrymade pistol, 2 live cartridges, 2 cellphones, and ATM Cards in connection with murder of a youth Narsingh Jha under Bihra police station in Saharsa district on August 24, 2019. Narsingh Jha was shot dead. The SP claimed that with the arrest of these two criminals police had cracked Narsingh Jha murder case.
SP Kumar said that the special team had arrested four criminals : Deepak Kumar Sumeet Kumar, Bipin Kumar, and Manoj Sharma, in connection with loot of Rs 50,000 cash from the Collection Agent of Mahindra Finance Company under Saur Bazaar police station on August 27, 2019, at gun point. Police arrested the four criminals with a countrymade pistol, 2 stolen bikes, 2 live cartridges and some incriminating documents, the SP said.
