Bokaro ( Jharkhand) :  With the motto to inculcating the elements of subtlety, abstraction, inspiration, and a mystical element into the lives of the young learners who are currently confined to home, a Rendezvous Series was organised by The Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth (SPICMACAY) for the students of DPS Bokaro in Bokaro District in Jharkhand.

The series covered a variety of programmes such as film screenings, performances by great artists, Yoga, Vocal Music, and talks by gurus. The series of events which were organised on the virtual platform commenced from the first week of June 2021.

Extensive workshops on yoga, fine arts, and vocal music with dances and mudras were conducted as a part of this programme. Over hundreds of students of DPS Bokaro registered and attended the workshop for effective learning.  The movie ‘Gandhi’ directed by Sir Richard Attenborough was  also screened for the students which was followed by a discussion with Kumar Prashant, Chairman Gandhi Peace Foundation. The movie received an overwhelming feedback from the students.

Principal, DPS Bokaro, A S Gangwar, said that the Rendezvous Series was a great initiative by SPICMACAY. It gave the students the opportunity to get enlightened by the exceptional artists. Through the talk show,  classical music and dance performances, students got a chance to learn from the maestros.
