Ara : A speeding Scorpio crushed Ram Ishwar Singh, 51 , village of West Demha , to death and then overturned on the road in which four persons were injured near Dubauli Line Hotel on Ara-Sasaram main road under Udwantnagar police station in Bhojpur district on May 17, 2019. The injured were admitted to a private clinic. Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
SHO, Udwantnagar police station, said that Ram Ishwar Singh of West Demha village under Udwantnagar police station was going to Belaur on foot to purchase some medicine. When he reached near Dubauli Line Hotel, a speeding Scorpio knocked him down killing him on spot. In its bid to escape, the driver lost control and the Scorpio overturned on the road in which four persons were injured. Police seized the Scorpio.
