Patna : World Number 46 in ATP rankings Denis Shapovalov, 18, Canada, upset World Number 14 Sam Querry, 30, USA, in a three-set thriller 6-4, 3-6, 7-5, on March 26, 2018, at Crandon Park Tennis Centre, Key Biscayne, Florida, USA, to enter the 4th round round of Miami Open ATP Masters 1000 tournament played on hard court.

World Number 39 and 31st seed Fernando Verdasco, 34, Spain, beat World Number 175 Thanasi Kokkinakis, 21, Australia, in atough three-set encounter 3-6, 6-4, 7-6, to enter the 4th round of the tournament. Thanasi Kokkinakis, who was given a wild card to even play the qualifiers, had caused the biggest upset of the tournament shocking World Number 1 and top seed Roger Federer, 36, Switzerland, in the second round on March 25, 2018.

World Number 25 and 20th seed Milos Raunic, 27, Canada, and World Number 19 and 16th seed Pablo Carreno Busta, 26, Spain, have also entered the 4th round. Raonic beat World Number 16 and 13th seed Diego Schwartzman, 25, Argentina, 7-6, 6-3, while Busta beat World Number 54 Steve Johnson, 28, USA, 6-4, 6-4, to enter the 4th round.

World Number 36 and 29th seed Borna Coric, 21, Croatia, shocked World Number 11 and 8th seed Jack Sock, 25, USA, in three-sets 5-7, 7-6, 6-3, to enter the 4th round. Sock had defeated World Number 107 Yuki Bhambri, 25, India, in the second round. World  Number 20 and 17th seed Nick Kyrgios, 22, Australia, upset World Number 18 and 15th seed Fabio Fognini, 30, Italy, 6-3, 6-3, to enter the 4th round.

World Number 8 and 6th seed Kevin Anderson, 31, South Africa, beat World Number 41 and 32nd seed Karan Kachanov, 21, Russia, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3, to enter the 4th round.

World Number 5 and 4th seed Alexander Zverev, 20, Germany, beat World Number 35 and 28th seed David Ferrer, 35, Spain, 2-6, 6-2, 6-4, to enter the 4th round.
