South Africa130/8 in second innings in Cape Town test

Patna : South Africa were 130/8 in their second innings in 40.2 overs before lunch on day four of the first cricket test against India at Newlands, Capte, South Africa, on January 8, 2018, with A B de Villiers batting on 35 hitting 2 fours and 2 sixes  and fast bowler Morne Morkel batting on 2. South Africa had scored 286 in their first innings. India were all out for 209 in the first innings. South Africa are leading by 207 runs.

Resuming at 65/2 on January 8, South Africa lost six wickets in the first session itself with Jasprit Bumrah accouting for Captain Faf du Plessis and wicketkeeper Quinton de Cock. Mohd Shami took the wickets of Kagiso Rabada, Hashim Amla and Vernon Philander. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar took the wicket of spinner Keshav Maharaj who scored 15 runs.  Hardik Pandya had taken two wickets on day two on January 6. The third day’s play was washed out on January 7 due to rain. Amla, who has scored 29 tons in tests, was out for only 4. He had scored three runs in the first innings.
